Walking for Better Health

As much as you see about exercising, you will notice that many people do not want to do it. You might be one of these people. First of all, don’t be. Second, why not just exercise? The problem is that so many types of exercise are very strenuous and it takes more effort than some people have.

Just keep in mind that you don’t have to be a triathlete in order to get the exercise needed for a healthy lifestyle, or vida saudável. That would be fine, but you don’t have to go to any extremes. Just find a mode of exercise that works for you. There are plenty of options available. One idea is to join a gym and choose from the various workouts there. A personal trainer can help you get into it pretty well.

Maybe that won’t work very well for you though. Some people don’t like the crowds and the noise you find at gyms and others love it. If you are the type of person who does not like that, then try something different. You are still not out of options to exercise.

What about just walking? The usual walking you do in a day does not count. You need to walk extra and you need to walk at a swift pace for some distances like one to three miles at least three days a week. Many people do this because it is a great way to stay fit, it is a great fat burner, and it is generally easy to do.

You see, you do not have to work out like a mad person to lose weight, get fit, and be healthy. If you are wanting to get fit because you are severely out of shape, definitely do not jump right into high-intensity exercise. That could cause you harm. Instead, just use a walking workout. If that wears you out, start small. Keep it simple and then increase the time and the distance.

If, on the other hand, you feel like walking is not enough, you can do other exercises. It does not matter so much. The important thing for a vida saudável is to get exercise. Or, you could do the walking and add some light weight-lifting with it. You can use just hand weights at home and don’t have to join a gym.
